Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins-Reid
I could not put this book down. There’s probably some bias because anything about music is going to sing to me, but this may be one of my favorite books that I’ve ever read. The way the author develops her characters in the context of an interview transcript is masterful. Reid paints a real and vivid picture of the people and places through the dialogue of a host of unreliable narrators, allowing the reader to feel the vitality of invincible youth while acknowledging the impending mortality of the now-older characters. It’s really something.
