Entre les trous de la memoire

I'm not entirely sure how I first came across this piece, likely through a poster store as the original is part of a private collection. While I don't remember when or where I first saw it, I remember being struck by the water. At that point, it was the most realistic thing I had seen painted, and I instantly fell in love with this piece. It did help that I was already partial to surrealism, and though I have come across many new works that I love, this one remains one of my favorites.
